My journey into writing began at the age of nine when my cousin Christian introduced me to Hip-Hop and freestyle rap, sparking a love for putting words together. I dreamed of being like Missy Elliott and even kept a book of my own raps. In high school, I discovered spoken word poetry, which transformed my perspective on writing and performance, leading me to the poet I am today. Although I realized the music industry wasn't my path, I continued to write and keep my poems. The passing of my father in 2025 ignited a new sense of purpose, and I dedicated myself to "finishing" my book in his honor.
